Boosters
Parents
and friends sponsor various fund-raising events to provide materials and
equipment for the children's sports program. Volunteers are always
welcome to serve in multiple capacities.
BINGO
Sunday afternoon and
Tuesday evening Bingo revenues provide the additional funds needed to
defray parish expenses. Volunteers are welcome to serve in the kitchen,
at the doors, on the Bingo floor, or as callers.
GALILEANS
An organization for
men and women over 50, geared toward experiences of sociability,
friendship and intellectual stimulation. Galilean's meet the fourth
Thursday of each month, September through June. Membership is
open.
CHILDREN'S SPORTS PROGRAM
St.
Clarence Youth League Intramural Basketball for all boys and girls in
lower elementary grades of parochial schools or the PSR Program. The
Basketball Program is active from Mid-November until the end of
February.
CYO Basketball Program for boys and CYO Basketball
Program for parochial school or PSR Program girls, Grades 5 and up
occurs from Mid-November through March.
Both of these sports programs are
parent-coached and parent-sponsored. Participation is always open to all
St. Clarence children. Adult volunteers are always welcome.
A wrestling program - teaching the skills
of good physical management, focus and concentration. - is available for
boys in elementary school. All boys are welcome to join.
CHARITY-IN-ACTION GROUP
(CIA)
This group welcomes adult parishioners interested in
serving the underprivileged and those in need, of all ages and
circumstances, particularly the materially and economically poor. A
variety of programs, projects and outreach efforts occur throughout the
year and depend upon parish-wide participation.
FINANCE COUNCIL
In accord with
Diocesan Policy this group acts as a consultative body of parishioners
who assist the pastor in administration of the business aspects of
parish life. Background in finance, administration, law, and business
are requirements. Membership is by appointment.
NATURAL FAMILY
PLANNING
Information on Natural Family Planning (NFP), a family
planning method in accordance with the teachings of Scripture and the
Church, is available for interested couples. Contact the rectory for
referral couples within the parish.
ADULT EDUCATION COMMITTEE
Men
and women are invited to offer ideas for adult education offerings,
methods for learning, and to gather resources for developing a deeper
understanding of our faith. Advent and Lent are primary liturgical
seasons for deepening our insights and gaining new perspectives. Other
educational offerings are available throughout the year as well.
Membership on the Adult Education Committee is open to all who are
interested.
