Lent Service Project – “Blessing Baskets”

Lent Service Project – “Blessing Baskets”

During Advent, we came together as a parish family to make and distribute 100 “Blessing Bags” to members of our community who are homebound, recently lost a loved one or simply needed to be reminded that their parish family was thinking of them at Christmas. The feedback received from this service project was overwhelming! Those who received the “Blessings Bags” were extremely grateful and those who had the opportunity to make and distribute the bags were moved by the experience!

This Lent, we would like to do a similar act of service! During the next few weeks, we are collecting names of those in the Saint Clarence community who would benefit from receiving a “Blessing Baskets” filled with prayers, cards and other simple gifts created with love from parishioners. We will assemble these “Blessing Baskets” on Sunday, March 11th after the 10AM Mass in the Gathering Room and distribute them the week before Easter. Please stop by the Gathering Room after Mass for a few minutes to help us as many hands make light work! (Please RSVP in the Atrium or on the parish website to help us plan). If there is someone who you feel would benefit from receiving this wonderful gift, please contact Megan in the Parish Office or send an email to mlowes@st-clarence.org
