COVID-19 Family Resources
While we are asked to worship remotely we’ll share guides to help you lead your family in Children’s Liturgy of the Word at home. For each day of Holy Week we’ll post a new guide with a challenge.
Today we begin with Palm Sunday.
Children’s Liturgy of the Word at St. Clarence
Children in Grades 1 and 2 who attend the 10:00 AM Sunday Mass are invited to break open the Sunday Scripture with a catechist. Families sit together for the Introductory Rites of the Mass. After the Opening Prayer, the priest will hand the Children’s Lectionary to the Children’s Liturgy of the Word catechist who gathers the children at the front of the church and then leads them to St. Kevin’s Chapel. After the homily, these children will return to the church and sit with their families for the remainder of the Mass.
Children’s Liturgy of the Word is held from September to May following the same calendar as Religious Readiness (2019-2020 Sunday Programs Calendar). There is no need for registration. The Children’s Liturgy of the Word is coordinated by Mrs. Francine Silavent.
