“May the favor of the Lord our God be ours. Prosper the work of our hands! Prosper the work of our hands!” Psalm 90:17
Shawls are used for more than keeping warm. They can become symbols of caring and compassion. They can help the person who wears one feel loved and remembered.
Members of the Prayer Shawl Ministry prayerfully knit and crochet shawls which are given to people in the community who may be going through life changing events. These shawls are shared with those who may be suffering with a chronic disease or are struggling with health issues. These shawls may also be given to a woman who has just given birth or a young child who is in the hospital. The shawls from this ministry are distributed primarily through the Ministry of Care.
Members of the Prayer Shawl Ministry meet on the second Wednesday of each month from 5-7 pm. Members do not need to be present at meetings to contribute shawls. For more information contact Megan Lowes.
